May Coffee Talk - Dayton Area

May Coffee Talk - Dayton Area

About This Campaign

Survivors are invited to meet on May 23rd, 6:30 pm at Bullwinkle's Top Hat Bistro in Miamisburg. We will be discussing journaling and blogging your way through a cancer diagnosis and beyond.

Have you been keeping a journal or blogging during your cancer journey? A study in the June 2008 Journal of Pain and Symptom Management reported that a group of cancer patients, who spent at least 20 minutes once a week for three weeks writing a story about how cancer affected them, experienced less pain and reported higher levels of well being.

Journaling can be the perfect way to express yourself and promote your emotional well-being. It can help you cope with feelings and process your diagnosis.

We will share ideas on how to get started journaling or blogging and the benefits - both emotional and physical. There will be plenty of time for open conversation with other survivors.

Appetizers & soft drinks will be provided. Please RSVP!

Campaign to Support Pink Ribbon Girls

We offer support and services to our members through our Simply Fight! and NO Age NO Stage programs which offer free services for those in treatment to help with everyday life needs such as housekeeping, meals and transportation. Survivors can also connect through monthly coffee talks and other events.

I don't know if I'll be able to make it or not. I have chemo on Mondays and Tuesdays can go either way, feeling OK or feeling crappy. Will have to pencil me in.
